Is SEEN, Inc. affiliated with any outside groups or districts?

No. SEEN, Inc. is a standalone advocacy group formed in response to needing visibility for our students. This recognition transcends district boundaries. We welcome the ability to partner with other non-profits to better student outcomes. 

Do you accept grants or donations? 

Yes, we rely on grants, donations, and sponsorships to fund SEEN activities and events.

Is SEEN for all kids, or just kids using special education services?

SEEN welcomes anyone wanting to engage in productive dialogue about educational opportunity. While our work typically has a focus on neurodiverse students and special education advocacy, we welcome anyone to join in the conversation. 

How is SEEN, Inc. Different than a SEPAC?

SEPAC stands for "Special Education Parent Advisory Committee". These typically occur at the school district level, and are parent led with some level of school district engagement. SEEN has no ties to any school district. SEEN recognizes the majority of parents feel overwhelmed and need support in understanding the nuances of special education. We hope to provide knowledge and support through community connection.

Is SEEN, Inc.  partisan? 

SEEN, Inc. is a non-partisan organization, of which does not endorse any individual or group. 

Do you have a list of referrals for various services?

Whether you're looking for an educational advocate, lawyer, occupational therapist or barber who specializes in working with families with specific needs, we can help connect you. Simply eMail us via the contact tab and we'll do our best to help you find the right professional.

How can parents or caregivers get involved?

Parents and caregivers can volunteer to fulfill various roles within our organzation, or simply attend a support group, or participate in a workshop we sponsor. We look forward to getting to know you in whatever capacity you care to be involved.
